Otac na sluzbenom putu/When Father Was Away On Business

This is one of the best movies that Mira appeared in, it won the Palme d'Or at Cannes in 1985 and was nominated for the Best Foreign Film Oscar. It's been available on VHS with subtitles for some time, but I've just received news that it will be released on DVD on April 12th, 2005. This is a general North America release, so most regular video stores should carry it.

"Solitary" (LOST) rerun

is slated for January 26th, in case you missed it the first time.

Mira Furlan's movie "Disi duboko" screening in Ontario

This is the movie that she shot in Belgrade in the summer of 2003.

It's playing at the Serbian Film Festival in Toronto, on December 10th
and in Kitchener/Waterloo on December 12th.

LOST

Mira will be appearing in the new series LOST as "Danielle Rousseau".
Her first episode is "Solitary" and it will air either November 10th
or 17th. This role is very likely to be a reoccurring, or semi-regular
one.

The show airs Wednesday nights at 8pm on ABC (and CTV if you're in
Canada). It appears to be a ratings winner, so may very well stick
around for a few seasons.
